Tossing around ideas, solving problems, identifying the unknowns...looking before you leap. It’s how you move forward when starting a new business or business concept. Sometimes we all need a little help going through these steps before we give our idea the go ahead.
The Greenlight program at the Whitley County EDC’s Small Business & Entrepreneurship Initiative will do just that; providing aspiring entrepreneurs and existing business owners the time to evaluate the viability of a business idea in a safe and interactive environment.
HOW IT WORKS
Initial Assessment
- Define & describe the business concept
- Identify and evaluate personal objectives, skills, & resources
- Understand potential feasibility of conept
One-on-One Meetings (3-4)
- Identify customer profiles to determine marketing potential & competition
- Conduct a SWOT analysis
- Develop a formal strategy
- Define critical factors for success
Benchmark Assessment
- Interactive discussion with program staff and advisors
- Develop focus on forward movement
- Decide on next steps and resource partners
