Jon Myers – President
Jon Myers joined the Whitley County Economic Development Corporation as president in 2015.
Before joining the EDC, Jon was Senior Counsel in the Fort Wayne offices of Lincoln Financial Group from 1986 to 1995 and again from 2007 to 2015, where he served in a number of roles which covered complex commercial transactions, information technology, regulatory compliance and reporting, and litigation management across all of Lincoln Financial’s business units.
Prior to rejoining the Lincoln Financial Legal Department in 2007, Jon was a partner in the Columbia City, Indiana law firm of Myers Hockemeyer & McMagny from 1995 to 2003 and then served as Regional Director, Northeast Region, for Governor Mitch Daniels at the Indiana Economic Development Corporation. As Regional Director, Jon was responsible for promoting the state of Indiana and its economic development incentive programs to companies locating or expanding their operations in Northeast Indiana.
Jon’s educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Notre Dame with a major in Government and International Studies and a minor in Public Administration. He received his J.D. from the Indiana University—Robert H. McKinney School of Law and recently completed a certification in Project Leadership provided by the Cornell University College of Engineering. Jon is admitted to practice law in the state and federal courts of Indiana and Colorado.
