Whitley EDC completes rebranding process

COLUMBIA CITY, Ind. (May 3, 2010) – The Whitley County Economic Development Corporation (EDC) has concluded a year-long rebranding process and formally launched its new EDC website.

“The Whitley County EDC is now in its 19th year working to support our industry clients’ growth and success,” said EDC President Alan Tio, “This rebranding prepares the EDC to continue our work to grow, retain, and attract businesses to Whitley County.”

Whitley County-based Sound Ideas designed the new EDC logo and business suite and developed the new EDC website, which is now available at www.whitleyedc.com.

“Our new look reinforces our progressive, customer-focused approach to economic development,” said Tio, “Whitley County continues to be known as a location where companies can “go and grow”.”

The new EDC website organizes content around specific audiences: “site selection” resources for companies considering new facilities in Whitley County, “business resources” for existing companies, and “business incubation” for startup and growth stage companies.

In addition, the website will soon feature case studies of four companies in Whitley County that have located and expanded in Whitley County. The case studies are being developed by the EDC, the Northeast Indiana Regional Partnership, and One Lucky Guitar to showcase success stories of companies that have found success in Whitley County and Northeast Indiana.

The website also includes profiles of Whitley County and the communities of Churubusco, Columbia City, and Larwill/South Whitley developed by the Community Research Institute (CRI) at IPFW. CRI will soon add profiles of growth industries in Whitley County, as well.

New signage at the EDC office was created by South Whitley-based Johnson Brothers Sign Company.

“I am extremely thankful to all of our project partners,” said Tio, “we have assembled a solid team for this project and will continue to develop additional content to meet our clients’ needs.”
