Below are a few of the specialized training opportunities available in Northeast Indiana to help serve the financial and insurance services industry.

Indiana is one of only a handful of states with nine universities offering actuarial science and insurance degrees: Butler University, Valparasio University, Ball State University, Indiana State University, Purdue University, Indiana University, University of Notre Dame, Indiana University South Bend, and Indiana University Northwest.

Higher Education Highlights


IVY Tech has one main campus in Northeast Indiana, with classes offered in other cities, and enrolls more than 7,000 students annually within the region.


Four-year students pass the CPA exam at twice the national rate and 50 percent pass on the first try. Many students who score in the top 10 from Indiana received their education from Manchester College located in Wabash County.


IPFW is home to the Richard T. Doermer School of Business and Management Sciences that offers degrees in Accounting & Finance, Economics, and Marketing & Management.
